Scholarships
$1000 New Student Scholarship
Alpha Gamma Rho will be awarding one $1000 scholarship to a qualifying and incoming freshman at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Alpha Gamma Rho is committed to the develop of a strong brotherhood that supports a commitment and dedication to responsibility, friendship, respect, loyalty and excellence, and is interested in only the highest quality men.
APPLICANTS
Must be an incoming student at SIUC
Must have a high school GPA of 2.75/4.0 scale.
Must enter the College of Agricultural Sciences, Applied Sciences and Arts, and Science
Must submit their application no later than Labor Day of each year.
The Award Winner:
Will be contacted upon selection
Will receive $1000 upon completion of first semester of college
Will be selected by the Alpha Gamma Rho Alumni Board

There are over 70 Alpha Gamma Rho chapters nationwide, with over 60,000 alumni in food, fiber, and natural resources related businesses and industries. The Alpha Gamma Rho, Beta Alpha Chapter currently has over 600 active alumni and we are still growing. Currently there are 33 AGR undergraduates at SIU with majors including: Animal Science, Forestry, Agricultural Systems, Agribusiness, Landscape Design, Plant and Soil Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, and Journalism.
